Update on our new addition

Well he survived his first night and his full day at our house. I have recently found several good websites to assist you in raising baby chicks. I also learned that according to the city ordinance we can't have a chicken or let him free. I suppose we'll figure out something for this little guy when he is no longer a chick. We took him for a walk around the yard and he likes being outside and following you. He even comes when you call him. He'll also let you know when he can't see you and does know how to get to you. He is very much growing on me. Once again please don't tell Ken. I also found out that Ken was planning on getting a few more girl chicks for this little man. What would I do with more chicken? Well, I informed him that we can't keep chickens in the city. So I hope I won't be surprised again with more chickens. I suppose I should have suspected something was going on when he asked what my reaction would be if he were to bring home a pet. I thought he was kidding. He wasn't and I think he got my real reaction. I was totally shocked. While we were outside I asked Sariah (on tape) what was his name and she said boots so I thought Mr. Boots would be a fun name. I think Ken likes it too.

On a unpleasant note, Sariah hasn't been feeling well and I think she is getting more molars. Hopefully they will come fast so we don't have to suffer any longer. Well, until next time.
