"If each spouse is forever seeking the interests, comforts, and happiness of the other, the love ... will grow" (Spencer W. Kimball, Marriage and Divorce)
"Motherhood brings as much joy as ever, but is still brings boredom, exhaustion, and sorrow too. Nothing else will ever make you as happy or sad, as proud or as tired, for nothing is quite as hard as helping a person develop his own individuality-especially while you struggle to keep your own."
"You cannot teach a child to take care of himself unless you let him try to take care of himself. He will make mistakes; and out of these mistakes will come his wisdom."
"Any adult who spends 15 minutes with a child outdoors finds himself drawn back to his childhood, like alice falling down the rabbit hole."
"I suppose there must be in every mother's life the inevitable moment when she has to take two small children shopping in one big store."
" . . .children must be ready to learn from the first day of school. And of course, preparing children for school is a historic responsibility of parents."
"The events of childhood do not pass, but repeat themselves like seasons of the year."
"The parents exist to teach the child, but they must also learn what the child has to teach them; and the child has a very great deal to teach them."
"The first holiday may have been invented to celebrate fertility or planting or harvest, but we're sure a mother was behind it. Even then she must have known that nothing could cure the day-to-day drudgery as well as a holiday or brighten the eye of a small child so quickly."
Hi, my name is Faith and I married my perfect match, Ken, on April 16th 2005. We have two amazing daughters, Sariah and Chloe and a handsome little man, Isaac. With one more on the way. And this is our way of keeping in touch and letting our friends and family what's going on at our house. This is also how I keep my sanity; writing down what happens to me seems to make me feel better. Plus I can’t resist bragging about my amazing kids.
